Emmett M. Brown Jr.
age 87 of New Smyrna Beach, Florida passed away Friday, January 28, 2011. He was born October 29, 1923 in Keokuk Iowa. He was a former longtime Northwest Indiana resident. He served his country in the U.S. Army in WWII. Emmett worked as a Plumber and was a member of Plumbers Local 210. He was a member of American Legion Post 260 in Portage, the Bonner Senior Center, and the M.L. McClelland Masonic Lodge # 357.
He is survived by 4 brothers, Gerald Brown of FL; Donald (Diane) Brown of Hobart, IN; Larry (Sally) Brown of Hobart, IN; William (Isabel) Brown of Portage, IN; 1 sister, Lucille Reinert of Michigan City, IN; 2 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett R. and Fay Marie Brown, his wife, Dorothy Brown, and 1 son Kenneth Lee Brown.
Funeral services are Friday, February 4, 2011 at 9 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville, Indiana.
