Eric A. Barnett age 63 of Lake Station passed away Friday, October 23, 2020.  He was born on January 18, 1957 in Wayne County, Michigan and he was raised in Troy, Tennessee.  Eric enjoyed playing guitar and listening to music.  He loved Sunday Funday to be around family and aggravate, that's how he showed his love.  He was an avid tree climber, very strong fighter, who just beat cancer in June 2020.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Darby, two daughters, "Baby Girl"  Jessica (Tony) Darby, "BB" Tiffany (Eddie) Ross, two sons, Aaron Darby, and Matt Barnett, five brothers, Robert (Tammy) Barnett, Nevin (Janice) Barnett, Mike Barnett, John (Debbie) Ackermann, and Chuck Ackermann, sister, Maggie Ackermann, sisters-in-law, Sheila "Rag" (Dennis) Smith, Vicki (Mark) Ruzity, mother-in-law, Bertha (Tom) Benecki, grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, N.C. Barnett, his mother, Arnell Spicer, his daughter, Tera Ross, and his nephew, Joshua Smith.

He will be missed and loved forever.

Funeral services are Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Robert Barnett officiating.  Cremation will follow the services.  Visitation is Tuesday just prior to the service from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, Portage.
