ERIC JASON PILBEAN, age 38, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012. He was a longtime area resident and formerly resided in Elizabethton, TN for 8 years. Eric was a WWII enthusiast and loved anything with 4 wheels and an engine, but especially loved NASCAR. He enjoyed bow hunting, being a road dog for the band Dirty Trixx. Eric will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Dekema of Hobart; father, Charlie Pilbean of Ridgeville, SC; brothers, Brian (Sherry) Ruchti of Lake Station and Mike Pilbean of Ridgeville, SC; nephew, Little B; niece, Heather; great nephew, James; great niece, Alexis; grandmother, Wanda Granzow of North Judson; other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Pilbean, Jr.; Grandfather, Gene Pilbean; grandparents, Wilbur and Lorene Dekema.

A funeral service for Eric will be Monday, February 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with Rev. Steve Campbell officiating. A visitation for Eric will be prior to the service from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
