Erica L. Pedroza, age 35, of Lake Station and Camby, Indiana, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 22, 2023. Erica was born at Methodist Hospital to Rueben and Teresa (nee Gonzalez) Pedroza. A gifted graduate of Andrean High School (Honors), the University of Notre Dame (BA) and the University of Indianapolis (MPH), Erica strived to make the world a better place. She used her extensive knowledge and deeply caring personality to work in academic advising, minority health initiatives, and most recently promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts for Indianapolis businesses.
Erica is survived by her parents, brothers PJ (wife Sarah and children Isaiah and Ezekiel) and Victor (wife Jennifer and children Maya, Gabriel, Christiana, Penelope and beloved godson Xavier) as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins within the Gonzalez and Pedroza families and friends she met from childhood through adulthood, all whom she loved dearly; fur babies, Lady and Winter.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Romualdo and Beatrice Gonzalez and Joseph and Delia Pedroza and her aunt Elizabeth Avila; uncle, Harry Pedroza; cousins, Harry, Jr. and Joey Pedroza.

Friends may gather with the family on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon, at Nativity of Our Savior, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 Noon with Rev. Radley Alcantara presiding and Rev. Kevin McCarthy concelebrating. She will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.
