Erik David Adams, age 49, of Lake Station, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016. He was born on November 13, 1966 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Ran and Bonnie Adams. Erik was a 1985 graduate of Lake Station Edison High School. In his free time, he liked to bowl, golf, and shoot darts. He will always be remembered for his vibrant personality, his kind nature, and helping others. He will be sorely missed by those who love him.

Erik is survived by his parents, Ran and Bonnie Adams; siblings, Jason P. (girlfriend, Cassie Wright) Adams, Barbara (Donald) Adams-Smith, Becky (Bill) Lambert, Brian Adams, and Rick Adams; nieces, Heather and Neasha; nephews, Chad and Robert; several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; special longtime friend, Carla Lemon.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Reed and Mary Adams; and his maternal grandparents, David and Ora McEwan.

A funeral service for Erik will take place Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, IN.
