Erna Rey

Erna Rey, age 86, of Lake Station passed away Thursday September 24, 2020. Erna was born October 14, 1933 in Nevlusheim, Germany.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that loved and cared deeply for her family.  She retired from Greenwald Surgical where she manufactured surgical equipment.  She was a member of St. Francis-Xavier Catholic Church.

Erna is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Alois Rey, Sr. of Lake Station; three children Walter (Auhn) Rey of Bloomington, Alois (Peggy) Rey of Lake Station and Linda (Terry) Okrzesik of Vincennes; six grandchildren, Candance Rey, Kevin Rey, Josh Rey, Becky Somers, CJ Somers and Eddie Rey; four great grandchildren, Nicholas Rey, Taylor Hedge, Serenity Hedge and Carter Daily; and many dear friends.

Erna was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 2-6:30 pm Monday September 28, 2020 at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel 3781 Central Avenue. Funeral Services will be conducted at 6:30 pm Monday at the Funeral Home with Rev. David Kime officiating.  Cremation will follow.
