Ernestina Benitez-Avelino

Ernestina Benitez-Avelino, age 70 of Hobart, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023. She was born on December 11, 1952, in Tuxpan, Guerrero, Mexico to the late Epifanio Benitez and Ausencia Avelino. She was very active and enjoyed shopping, music, and dancing. As a stay-at-home mother, she dedicated her life to taking care of her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Manuel Rea-Reyna; daughters, Esperanza (Julio Hernandez) Rea, Rocio (Armando Gonzalez) Rea; son, Armando Rea; grandchildren, Yesenia, Alex and Kayla Hernandez, Maria, Angel, Marisol, Rebecca, Vanesa and Jesus Gonzalez; sisters, Josefina Benitez, Genoveva Benitez, Lucia Benitez, Rosario Benitez; brothers, Jose Benitez and Antonio Benitez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Epifanio Benitez and Ausencia Avelino; Brother, Martin Benitez Avelino; Sister, Biliulfa Benitez Avelino.

Visitation for Ernestina will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
