Ernie Lee Yarrington, (nee Robinson) age 81, of Lake Station passed away Monday, November 11, 2013. She was born March 21, 1932 in Great State, Mississippi to the late Alma and Keener Robinson. She worked for the FBI for 11 years before she married her husband, Robert Paul Yarrington. Ernie was a member of the 29th Avenue Baptist Church in Lake Station. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Ernie is survived by her children; Robert William Yarrington of Jonesboro, LA, Russell Paul (Tammy Lynn) Yarrington of Lowell, IN, Linda Jeanne (Pete) Coleman of Florida, Robbin Lee Yarrington of Lake Station, IN and Hollie Jeanne (George) Mamounas of Lake Station, IN, brothers; KB Robinson of Mississippi, Joe Robinson of Little Rock, Arkansas and Buddy Robinson of Mississippi, sisters; Alma Reves of Chicago and Mert Bridges of Mississippi; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.

Ernie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Paul Yarrington, daughter, Tammy Yarrington and one grandchild, Jason Sims. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Yarrington family.

A Funeral Service for Ernie Yarrington will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Rees Funeral Home Olson Chapel located at 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana. Burial at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, November, 15, 2013 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
