Esmeralda Martinez, age 65, of Merrillville passed away Sunday February 1, 2015 in Hobart. She was born May 26, 1949 in Gary, Indiana to the late Patricio and Graciela (Regalado) Martinez. Esmeralda worked for Burrell Colours prior to her illness. She was a woman that cared for and loved others more than herself.

Esmeralda is survived by her three children Patricio (Jennifer) Montesdeoca of Hobart, Brijido (Dink) Montesdeoca of Scottsboro, Alabama and Esmeralda R. Montesdeoca; six grandchildren; her sister Elena (Maurice) Aleman of Houston, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm Friday February 6, 2015 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Rev. Thomas Mischler officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 pm until the time of services at funeral home.
