Age 78, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Portage. Ethel was born January 2, 1935 in Harrisburg, Ill to the late Claude and Vera Vaughn. On June 5, 1954 Ethel married the love of her life Kenneth L. Groves in Harrisburg, Ill. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
Ethel is survived by her loving husband of 59 yrs.; Kenneth L. Groves of Lake Station, son; Rick (Debbie) Groves of Portage, three daughters; Linda (Tommy) Vaclavik of Hobart, Kathy (Preston) Johnson of Lake Station, and Kim Groves of Portage, eight grandchildren, four ½ great-grandchildren, brother; John "Doc" Vaughn of Lake Station and sister; Lovetta Groves of Tennessee.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service for Ethel will be Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Rusty Shields officiating at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 11:00 am until time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
