EUGENE W. DORSEY, JR., age 74, of Lake Station and formerly a longtime Calumet City resident, passed away August 25, 2014 at Porter Regional Hospital. He was born on February 18, 1940 and was employed at US Steel as a steelworker. Eugene enjoyed fishing and was a huge Chicago White Sox fan. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Dorsey; 2 daughters, Trina (Louis) Gamble of Steger, IL and Melissa Harmon of Portage; 7 grandchildren, William, Brittany, Savannah, Ariel, Ryan, Megan and Kyla; sister, Marsha (Ken) Stephens of Merrillville; nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Jimmy, Jerry, Butch; sister, Berniece.
