Eugene Meyer

Eugene Meyer, age 88, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at St Mary's Medical Center in Hobart. Eugene was born on November 8, 1928 in Matteson, Illinois to the late Roy and Florence Meyer. He was a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident and was a retired Carpenters Union 1005 worker. He was a past member of Lake Station VFW and the Hobart American Legion. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and friend.
Eugene is survived by his children; Charlotte (Brian) Marshall of Hobart and Michael Meyer of Los Angeles, California grandchildren, Jordyn Marshall and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley N. Meyer and his parents
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Cremation will follow the service.
