Dr. Eugene S Wagner, age 80, passed peacefully last week in Florida after a long struggle with various health conditions. He graduated from Purdue University with his PHD in Chemistry. He had a long career at Ball State University as a chemistry professor as well as a biochemistry professor for the Ball State University medical department. He led a fruitful life across several locations in Indiana and Florida and will be missed by his friends. Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara. He is survived by his three children, three stepchildren, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, February 20, 2015, from 3-4 with a service immediately following visitation at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice in his memory.
