Mildred "Eunice" Minor, age 79, of Hobart, Indiana and formerly of Valparaiso passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was born on May 13, 1935 in Galatia, Illinois to the late Clyde and Dorothy (nee Bridwell) Morris. Eunice was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Hobart and a retired self-employed Beautician. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Eunice is survived by her two sons, David (Carol) Bryan ,of Elkhart and Michael (Karen) Bryan of Valparaiso; daughter, Lisa Bryan of Hobart; three grandchildren, Cassandra (Brandon) Proud , Karla Vinzani, Sheli (Donnie) Hutchinson-Fulton; six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kya, Sienna, Justice , Jonah and Liberty, many other loving family members and friends.
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Minor; grandson, Joseph Bryan; her parents; three sisters, Margaret Karnes, Cleone Yarber and Betty Haynes; and two brothers Ray and Billy Morris.
A funeral service for Eunice will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana, with Rev. Michael Cover. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
