EVELYN BURROUGHS, age 83, of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012. Evelyn was born on August 5, 1928 in Scottsville, KY to Harley and Ruby Pitcock. She was formerly employed as a spot-welder at Sunbeam for over 22 years. In more recent years, Evelyn enjoyed being Grandma Evelyn for her special "Angels", Katherine Elizabeth "Katie" Bodnar and Emma Grace Svoboda. Evelyn was a member of the American Legion, VFW Post Aux 5365 and the Moose Lodge.

Evelyn is survived by her loving companion of 30 years, James Frame; great granddaughter, Seth Cummings of Wabash; brothers, Thomas Pitcock, George (Carol) Pitcock, Guy Pitcock, James (Linda) Pitcock all of Alexandria, IN; 1 sister, Loraine (Roy) Contrarez of Lake Station; other loving family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Burroughs; son, Larry Copp; her parents, and several brothers and sisters.
