Evelyn Marie Dickson

age 92, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Life Care Center, Valparaiso. She was born on April 24, 1919 in Rensselaer, Indiana the daughter of Otto and Anna (nee Jungles) Ritter. She was the owner of Camp 133 Bait Shop in East Gary, she was a member of the Ya Ya Girls Club, and a member of Best Mother in the Whole World Club.
Evelyn is survived by her loving family: 4 sons, David O. (Sandy) Dickson, Dyer, Harry Dickson Jr., Hebron, Harvey (Patsey) Dickson, Hobart, Garvey (Beth) Dickson, Hobart, 2 daughters, Linda (Bill) Dishno, Valparaiso, Janet (Sherman) Riggers, Valparaiso, daughter-in-law Patsy Dickson, Valparaiso, sister-in-laws; Connie Ritter of Seattle, Washington, Mary Ritter of Hobart, 25 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and many other loving family and dear friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry Sr., son, Gordon (Clare Ann) Dickson, brothers, Alfred Ritter, Otto Ritter Jr. and Edward Ritter, and sister, Helen Eastwood
A visitation for Evelyn will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, 46342. Funeral Service will be held on Satuday, June 18, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. also at Rees Funeral Home- Hobart Chapel with Rev Craig Forwalter officiating. Burial will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Memorials in Evelyn's memory may be made to Life Care Center (The Activities Department).
