Evelyn Elizabeth Lindborg Jannasch, age 90, a resident of Portage passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011. She was born on September 29, 1921 on the family farm in Porter County the daughter of Bill and Laura Wolfe. Evelyn was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, served as a Sunday school teacher, and was a member of the Portage Historical Society.
Evelyn is survived by her son Darrell (Carol) Lindborg, Chesterton, daughter Marsha (Mark) Calloway, 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister Doris Koedyker, Portage, brother Harold Wolfe, and other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Warren Jannasch, son Warren Lindborg, sister Mildred Pavel, and brother Robert Wolfe.
A visitation for Evelyn Jannasch will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station with a funeral service at 10:00 am.
