Robert "Bob" Kutka, age 93, of Valparaiso and formerly of Portage, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021.

Bob was born on September 28, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Anton and Marie Kutka.  A graduate of Marquette University, Bob was a CPA Auditor with US Steel for 35 years until his retirement in 1990. Bob served in the US Army during World War II, including the occupation of Japan after the war ended..  He was a former 50 year member of the Orak Shrine Valley of South Bend. Bob was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church.  He had many hobbies including golfing and writing poetry.

Robert is survived by his daughters: Robin (late Glenn) Gintert and Dr. Laura (John) Hannon; grandchildren: Allison (John) Holly, Dr. Brooke (Jason Jackson) Gintert, Jason (Sarah Wolfgang) Gintert, Rebecca (Jerald) Balinnang; and Sean (Jenny Hsieh) Hannon; and nine great-grandchildren.

Bob is also preceded in death by his first wife: Martha, second wife: Elaine; and third wife: Juanita; and his siblings: Richard Kutka, Col. Ronald Kutka, and Evelyn Kutka.

Funeral services are private and Bob will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.
