Felicita DelValle, age 92, of Lake Station passed away Thursday November 1, 2012 at the St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was born July 10,1920 in Naranjito, Puerto Rico to the late Candelarie and Anselma Vazquez. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother that loved cooking and caring for her family. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
She is survived by eight children Jaime (Juanita) DelValle of Hobart, Jesse (Jeanette) DelValle of Florida, Wilfred DelValle of South Bend, Joseph (Judy) DelValle of Lake Station, Julio DelValle, Jr. of Lake Station, John Anthony (Becky) DelValle of Lake Station, Iris "Nellie" (John) Mendez of Valparaiso, and Mary (Jim) Constandars of Hobart; 23 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister Juanita Villenueva of Youngstown, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Julio O. DelValle, son Steven DelValle, parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 5, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage with Rev. Eduardo Malagon, officiating. Burial will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is also Monday 1 hour prior to the service from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
