FERN M. FENWICK, age 84, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, January 17 2012 at Life Care Center in Valparaiso. Fern had been a Valparaiso resident for 25 years and formerly of Hobart for 34 years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, fishing and football, especially the Chicago Bears and Hobart Brickies.
Fern is survived by her son, Kevin (Kimberly) Fenwick of Hobart, daughter, Kristie (Glenn) Frazee of Valparaiso, 4 grandchildren: Tracy (Brandon) Hawkins, Grayson (Michelle) Fenwick, Kelly (Ben) Rivera and Mark (Alexis) Gowan, 9 great grandchildren, brother, Robert Greenburg of Hobart and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Fenwick, brother, Donald Ekdahl and 2 sisters, Carol Jean and Shirley Meyer.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 3-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Funeral service will be held Monday, January 23, 2012 at 11 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, with Rev. Kenneth Gamblin officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
