Frances Etheline Cooper,
Age 90, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Crown Point, IN. She was born on September 4, 1924 in McCracken County, KY. Etheline graduated from High School at Melber, KY in 1942. She attended Murray State University in Murray, KY, Indiana University, St. Petersburg Junior College and was a graduate of The Academy of Business in Crown Point, IN and was a retired bookkeeper. Etheline accepted Christ at the age of 12 and was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and was presently a member of the First Baptist Church of Valparaiso, IN. She felt her greatest accomplishment in life was what she gave to her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and to her church, especially her involvement with Vacation Bible School. Later in life she became a proud member of The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC). She is survived by her son, Carl R. Cooper (Patricia) of Bath Springs, TN; two daughters, Frances Yvonne Moravec of Portland, TX, Sharon C. Conover (Robert L.) of Hobart, IN; two sisters, Geneva Cooper Hargrove and Wilma Sue Richards; one brother, Emil Rust; seven grandchildren, Glenn S. Beal, Bobbi C. Wanmer, Steven L. Conover, Amy Frances Giba, Michelle Renae Jarrett, Andrea L. Dallman, and Kathryn Ann McDonald; 12 great grandchildren; a step great grandson and a multitude of friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Charles Ralph Cooper; two sons, Ralph Keith Cooper and Kenneth Scott Cooper; one grandson, Eric Ralph Cooper; son-in-law, George Moravec; four brothers, Claude, Charles, Dan and Ed Rust. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Davis Rust and Vonnie C. Thurston.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, December 5, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Valparaiso, 2205 N. Campbell, Valparaiso, Indiana. Burial of cremains will follow in Florida.
