Frances Elizabeth Walden, age 92 of Portage passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026.  She was born on July 21, 1933 in Royston, Georgia to the late John and Ruby Marlow.  She retired from the Anderson Company.  Frances was a longtime member of the Hobart Assembly of God.

She is survived by two sons, Lewis "Ray" (the late Linda) Lindsey of Chesterton, IN; Randy (Dawn) Lindsey of Buhl, Idaho, two daughters, June (the late Ronald) Taylor of Portage, IN; Jan (John Jr.) Webdell of Hobart, IN; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis Lindsey, Sr., William Walden, and her siblings, Edna Mitchell, Jerry Marlow, and Florita Marlow.

Memorial donations in Frances's honor may be made to Porter County Project Lifesaver at Porter County Sheriff's Department,  2755 State Road 49 Valparaiso, IN. 46383.

A memorial service for Frances will be on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Randy Lindsey officiating.  Memorial visitation is just prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  Cremation burial will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.
