Francisco Villarruel

Francisco "Frank" Villarruel, Jr. 72, of Ponca City, OK, (formerly of Gary, IN) passed away on December 6, 2021. Frank was born on December 8, 1948, in East Chicago, IN, to the late Francisco, Sr. and Maria Carmen (Zuniga) Villarruel. Frank served in the U.S. Army from February 1969 to September 1970. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Bronze Star. Frank retired from Conoco Phillips as an operator in the Alky Unit. He loved blues music and was a proud papa. His life revolved around his family, who he loved very much. He will be truly missed.

Frank is survived by his children, Anthony Villarruel, and his children, Reyna, Valencia and Lilah, of Gary, IN, Paco Villarruel and his wife, Lacy, and their daughter, Chloe, of Bartlesville, OK, Marciano Villarruel and Taylor Paige, and children, Julian and Gracie, of Ponca City, OK, Sergio Villarruel and his wife, Candace, and their children, Simone, Caesar, Ra and Sergio, Jr.; sisters, Catalina, Eva, and Susie; brothers, Adam and Gilbert and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral service for Frank will be Tuesday, December 14,2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368. Burial at McCool Cemetery in Portage. Visitation for Frank will be Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 10:00 am until time of service also at Rees Olson Chapel.
