Fred Eugene Mcshane

Fred Eugene McShane, age 85 of Valparaiso passed away Friday, November 10, 2017.  He was born on December 16, 1931 in Melcher, Iowa to the late Everette and Jessie McShane.  Fred was a fully decorated U.S. Army Veteran serving his country in the Korean War.  He was awarded the Bronze Star and more than one purple heart.  Fred was a former member of the Gary Full Gospel Tabernacle Church and the Gary First Assembly Church.  He retired from the Budd Company where he had worked as a Press Operator.  He also worked for Miller Elementary and the Gary Full Gospel Tabernacle church.   Fred loved gardening and taking care of his lawn.

He is survived by his wife Doris McShane (Nee Price) of Valparaiso, IN; five children, Kathy McShane of Merrillville, IN; Tim McShane of Merrillville, IN; Corey (Claudette) McShane of Valparaiso, IN; Colleen (Dale) Kintzele of Michigan City, IN; Debra McShane of Valparaiso, IN four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Kelly, James John, three great-grandchildren, cousin, Lee (Chris) Bingham of Buxton, IA.

Private family graveside services were at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
