IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frederick "Fred"
E. Shannon
October 6, 1939 – August 25, 2025
Frederick Earl Shannon, a longtime resident of Lake Station passed away Monday, August 25, 2025. He was born on October 6, 1939 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee to the late Theodore Roosevelt and Violena Shannon. His family will remember him as the hardest working man on the planet. He was always up for a challenge and if you told him something could not be done, he would do it twice. Fred made his living as a truck driver, and his job allowed him to see all the corners of the world with an eighth-grade education. He loved his job so much that he raised five of his sons as truck drivers. Fred's greatest joy in life was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Hazel Shannon; his children, Kenneth (Sondra) Shannon, Michael Edward (Shannon) Shannon, Freddie (Cindy) Shannon, Tonya Shannon, Angela Shannon, Michael Lee (Heather) Shannon, Chad (Amy) Shannon, John Shannon, Donald Shannon, Jeffery Scott Shannon, Halo Christine Shannon, Hope Nevaeh Shannon; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother, Ronnie Shannon.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Shannon; five brothers and one sister.
