Gail L. Koch (nee Ehrenfeld), age 76 of Hobart, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 6, 2024. She was born on November 14, 1947, in Gary, Indiana to Richard and Miriam Ehrenfeld. Gail was a 1966 graduate of Hobart High School. She worked as a real estate agent for Ginter Realty for 27 years. She formerly served as the President of the Hobart Chamber of Commerce as well as the Northwest Indiana Realtors Association. She enjoyed going on vacations to warmer destinations and combing the beaches for seashells and shark teeth. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she cherished spending time with them. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and Oma.

She is survived by her husband, Hans Koch; her mother, Miriam Ehrenfeld; children, Erica (Eric) Wood, Mike (Patricia) Pollnow, Jennifer (Joe) Hirjak, Heather (Jeff) Light, Laura Koch; grandchildren, Madelyn, Tyler, Zoey, Max, Ethan, Riley and Emily; siblings, Pam Tripp, Richard (Susan) Ehrenfeld, Marsha (Paul) Gilman; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Ehrenfeld. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gail's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 West 96th St, Suite 100 Indianapolis, IN 46278.

Memorial visitation for Gail will be held Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
