Gale M. Hendrix (nee Girton), age 75 of Kingsford Heights and formerly of Lake Station passed away peacefully March 26, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 27, 1949, in Hammond, Indiana. On June 28, 1966, she married her high school sweetheart, Jackie Hendrix in New Chicago. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and her greatest joy was spending time with them. She liked gambling at the Four Winds Casino and watching her favorite shows while enjoying a beer. Gale was a lifelong member of the Hobart VFW Post #5365.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Jackie Hendrix; her son, Marshall Hendrix; daughters, Erin (Walter Kozik) Hendrix, Candice Rodriguez; grandchildren, Caitlin Hendrix, Lillian Hendrix, Emma Hendrix, Jason Kozik, Victoria Kozik, Charles Kozik, Skylar Kozik, Nevaeh Kozik; great grandchildren, Ella and Jackie Alvarez; and brother, Scott Woodruff.

She was preceded in death by her father, Galen Girton; mother and stepfather, Alberta and Herbert Woodruff; brothers, John Woodruff, Richard Woodruff; and sister, Linda Caldwell.
