Garry Andrew Watson, age 57, a longtime resident of Hobart passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2010. He was born on November 11, 1953 in Hammond the son of Andrew and Joyce Watson. He was a 1972 graduate of Hobart High School. Garry was married to Diane McClellan on October 6, 1973 in Hobart. Garry was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, was an avid bowler, enjoyed golf and crossword puzzles, and liked to watch shows on history and fixing things.

Garry is survived by his loving family; wife Diane Watson, Hobart, son Brian (Erin McMichael) Watson, Reynoldsburg, OH, daughters Jennifer (James) Hampton, Jr., Portage, Sarah (Kenneth) Nelson, Portage, and Heather (Jason Siroky) Watson, Hobart, grandchildren Emily Hampton, James Hampton III, Ashlee Hampton, Kenneth Nelson, Jr., and Hollie Nelson, brother Russ (Louise) Casey, Pembroke Pines, FL, and Fred (Janet) Watson, Demotte, sisters Sherry Casey, DE, and Ursula Carich, Portage, and other loving family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joy Illesley, sister Ginger Anselmo, brother-in-law Al Anselmo, and sister-in-law Carol Watson.

A visitation for Garry Watson will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with a prayer service at 6:00 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 directly at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 356 West Seven Mile Road, Valparaiso with Father John Zemelko, officiating.
