GARY C. KNOX, age 74, of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at home.  Gary was born on March 28, 1947 in Sterling, IL.  He was a 1966 graduate of Emerson Highschool.  He was a former longshoreman and corrections officer at Westville and Lake County Jail.  Gary was larger than life, quick witted, and always had a comeback for everything.  He loved the Dallas Cowboys and watched General Hospital and The Price Is Right.  Gary loved wrestling, fast cars, and his cat Bandit.  He loved eating at Red Rooster and Diner's Choice and had to have hot sauce on everything.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Maxine; and 2 brothers, Dennis and Eddie.

He is survived by his children, Dawn (Cody) Allen, Diana Montanino, Gary (Marilyn) Knox, Jeremy (Maria) Knox, and Troy McClanahan; grandchildren, Joey, Timothy (Marion), Christopher, Stephen (Eryn), Carma, Anthony, Kura and T.J.; several great grandchildren; brother, Don (Tammy) Knox; sisters, JACKIE JUSKEVICE, Alice (Larry) Morrison, Gladys (Edward) Leon, Pam Britton, Jane Moore; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, especially, Kim (John) Christos, Vic (Timber) Juskevice, and Phil (Alli) Juskevice; very close friends, Norman and Diane Kirby, and Russell the Love Muscle.
