Gary W. Nesmith

Gary W. Nesmith, age 57, of Portage passed away Tuesday March 22, 2022, at St Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Gary was born October 19, 1964, in Gary, Indiana to the late James and Martha Nesmith. Gary was a sales representative for Menards in Portage. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed Competitive Shooting. Gary was a long time member of the Portage United Pentecostal Church.

Gary is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Nesmith of Valparaiso and James Rodney Nesmith of Louisiana; a sister, Catherine Nesmith of Portage; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronnie Nesmith.

Visitation for Gary will be Thursday March 24, 2022, from 4-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368. Graveside funeral services will be Friday March 25, 2022, at 10 am in Calvary Cemetery.
