Genaro Sanchez, age 55, of Portage, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016. He was born on August 15, 1960 in East Chicago, Indiana to the late Eva and Adolfo G. Sanchez Sr.. Genaro worked as a Steel Processor at Mittal Steel. Genaro greatest joy in his life was spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband; father, son, brother, uncle and friend
Genaro is survived by his loving wife, Donna Sanchez ; three sons, Peter Stathakis, Steve Stathakis and Elijah Sanchez; daughter Trinity Sanchez; three brothers, Adolfo (Joyce) Sanchez Jr., Steve (Lorraine) Sanchez and Antonio Sanchez; three sisters, Louisa (Anthony) De Jesus, Angelita (Carlos) De Jesus and Carmen Fierro numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alexis Stathakis; his parents and two brothers Antonio and Louis Sanchez.
Funeral Services will take place Monday, June 20, 2016 at 10 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
