GEORGE W. FANSLER, age 66, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015. He was born on February 22, 1949 in Hammond to the late Francis and Doris Fansler. George married the love of his life, Deborah, on February 14, 1981. He retired as a railroad clerk from the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad. George was veteran of the US Air Force and a lifetime member of the DAV, Hammond Chapter 17. He was a dedicated volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the DAV. George will be remembered as an auto enthusiast and a kind, caring father to all his little animal children. He will be deeply missed.
George is survived by his wife, Deborah; and dear friends, Walt and Cheri Kania. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
