GEORGE W. FORD, age 80, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. George had been a Hobart area resident since 1958 and was a US Air Force Veteran during the Korean War. He retired from the Budd Company in Gary with 27 years of service.
George is survived by his wife, Kathleen (nee Alexander) Ford, 4 children: Jeff (late Pauline) Ford, Kim (Dan) Mauck, Irene Ford-Jana and Bob (Pam) Ford, 10 grandchildren: Eric (Christina) Ford, Michael (Chrissy) Locke, Kelly Perez, Bryan (Amanda) Mathis, Kendra Mauck, Lena Jana, Jake (Hazel) Jana, Lyndsee Ford, Jessica Ford & Chris Stevens, 12 great grandchildren: Dominique, Austin, Kendall, Arianna, Hannah, Harper, Macie, Erin, Jordan, Angelina, Raeannyn and Gunner, brother, James Ford of NY and Marian McMillan of TX and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Mary Ford, brothers, John, Robert, Charles, Harold & David Ford and sisters, Hazel Conners and Gladys Rackley and grandson, Zachary Mauck.
