George Andros, Jr.

George Andros, Jr., age 74 of Hobart passed away Friday, October 14, 2022. He was born on December 9, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to the late George and Bessie Lucile Andros. On June 19, 1971, he married Patricia Ann Casey. George worked as an Electrician for US Steel for 32 years. He had a very intelligent mind for making or fixing things and will always be remembered for his creativity. His family was everything to him and he cherished spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Andros; daughter, Ann Marie (Jesse) Andros-Serrano; grandchildren, Dimitre Darroca, Jessica Serrano, Christian (Destinee) DeBold, Alexis Darroca, Adam Darroca, Nolan Darroca, Adrianna Serrano; great grandchildren, Malina DeBold, Angelo DeBold, Joel DeBold, Vivian Rose Serrano-Ruiz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bessie Andros; and his daughter, Jeanne Andros-Darroca.

Memorial visitation for George will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
