Georgia E. (nee Parks) Alvarado, age 92 of Hobart passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at home surrounded by all of her children. She was born on February 6, 1929 in Hamlin, Virginia to the late Homer and Lillie Parks. On June 19, 1954 she married Ernesto Alvarado in Chicago, Illinois. Georgia drove a school bus for the Lake Station school system for over 20 years. She was an active longtime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Hobart. In her free-time, she enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her sons, Ernie Alvarado, Jr., George Alvarado, Brock (Olivia) Alvarado; daughters, Rita Albach, Sandra (Dan) Divich; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

One of ten children, she was preceded in death by all 9 of her brothers and sisters. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernesto Alvarado in 2008; son, Roy Allen Bartee in 1971; daughter-in-law, Diana Alvarado; and son-in-law, Rudy Albach.

A memorial visitation for Georgia will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
