GEORGIA D. REMPIS, age 86, of Portage, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Georgia was a Portage resident since 1979 and lifelong Northwest Indiana resident. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Georgia is survived by her son, Glenn (Sally) Rempis of Lake Station, daughter, Jill Rempis of Portage, 4 grandchildren: Steven (Cally) Rempis, Kevin (Jennifer) Rempis, Jennifer (Adam) Hedger and Lesley (Rikk) Fortini, 12 great grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Rempis in 2007 and sister, Margaret Jackson. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Horton VNA Hospice would be appreciated.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, with Chaplain Craig Forwalter officiating.
