GERALD KLIMCZYK, age 73, of Lake Station, was called to the Lord on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. He was a lifelong area resident and married Nadine Berry on June 20, 1963 in Portage, Indiana. His passion in life was fishing along with his favorite teams the Bears and Cubs. Gerald was a veteran of the US Army and a retired employee of US Steel National Tube Works. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Nadine; mother, Julia Webster; 10 children, Kathy (Dave) Ponda; Gayle Chappo, Jeff Szybala, Greg Krok, Robin (Kevin) McKenna, Sherry (Chris) Sharpnack, Bob Klimczyk, Julie (Danny) Miller, Karen (Bob) Gemo-Jones, Kim (Don) Emerson; 28 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Walter Klimczyk; 2 sisters, Toni Allain and Dorothy Dumais; many nieces and nephews.

Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Tony and his brother, Joe Klimczyk.

A funeral service for Gerald will be Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home – Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station, IN 46405 with Rev. Rich Ingram officiating.
