Geraldine Louise Standley

Geraldine Louise Standley, age 69, a longtime resident of Valparaiso passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. She was born on October 1, 1941 in Muskegon, Michigan the daughter of Clayton and Georgia Oosting. Geraldine was married to Jerry H. Standley on August 8, 1959 in Muskegon, Michigan. Geraldine worked as a nurse's aide in pediatrics for Porter Hospital. She enjoyed television, cooking, playing cards, and riding motorcycles with her husband.

Geraldine is survived by her family, son Jeff (Susie) Standley, Valparaiso, daughter Donna (Steve) Morris, Alabama, grandchildren Danny, Shawna, Shari, Matt, Chris, Tony, Sam, and Timothy, several great-grandchildren, and other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Jerry Standley, and her daughter Diane Creech.

A visitation for Geraldine Standley will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bean, officiating. Cremation will follow.
