Glenda Sue Cook, age 72 of Portage, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013. She was born on November 26, 1941 in Pana, Illinois to the late Monroe and Mildred (Harris) Walker. She was a Portage resident since 1997, formerly of Lake Station. Glenda loved her church and singing in the choir, she also loved eating out with her family. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Cook of Portage; 4 children; Cindy Thompson of Port St. Lucie, FL; Tony Rust of Portage, IN; Brenda (Tom) Ordway of Goodland, IN; Kelly Habhab (Kevin Garmon) of Edmonton, KY; 2 daughters-in-law; Kim Rust and Denise Brown; 15 Grandchildren; Michael, Jillian, Jerry, Maegen, Gary, Kimberly, Danielle, David, Tanya, Chad, Johnna, Jacob, Holly, Tommy and Amanda; 20 Great-Grandchildren; 2 sisters; Barbara (Marshall) Berry of Gary, IN and Kathy Buchanan of Marion, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, David Rust.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to Grace Church of the Nazarene are preferred.

There will be a Funeral service on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 12 p.m. at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 5360 Clem Rd, Portage, IN 46368 with Rev. Mark Hostetler officiating; Burial will follow at Heritage Cemetery in Portage, IN. A Visitation will be held from 10:00am until time of Service at the Church.
