GLENDA F. "NONNIE" HOWERTON, age 69, of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014.  Glenda was born on January 29, 1945 in Dora, AL.  She enjoyed shopping and loved to watch the Alabama "Crimson Tide" football games.  Glenda will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Glenda is survived by her 2 children, Brian (Juliet) Howerton of Hobart and Shannon (Lindo Zamora) Howerton of Merrillville; 3 grandchildren, Brianna, Christian, and Lindo "Squirmy"; 2 sisters, Shirley (James) Benton and Patti (Jerry) Simmons  all of Sumiton, AL; best friend, Poochie Steele.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Watson; mother, Lula Neumann and stepfather, Frank Neumann; 2 brothers, Lyn and Larry Watson; and sister, Matha Watson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Glenda's family.
