Glenn Deridder

Glenn DeRidder, age 88, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Glenn was born September 16, 1929 in Harvey, Illinois to the late John and Mildred (nee Hogberg) DeRidder. Glenn, retired, was an expediter at Combustion Engineering. Glenn married the love of his life Joan McGinley on September 12, 1950. He was an active member and elder of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 yrs. Glenn will be remembered as a loyal husband, loving father, adoring grandfather, dear brother and friend.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 67 yrs. Joan DeRidder; daughter, Patricia (Kenneth) Escott, Sr.; grandson, Kenneth James Escott Jr.; two sisters, Carole (Jerry) Leeson and Betty Hardin and many loving nieces and nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Rodger and Melvin DeRidder.
Memorial services will be at 5:00 pm on October 14, 2017 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 930 North State Road 149, Valparaiso, Indiana, 46385 with Kenneth Escott Sr., officiating. Cremation will be handled by Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until the time of the service also at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Valparaiso, Indiana.
