Glenn R. Rempis
Age 74 passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at his home in Lake Station surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 13,1949 in Gary, Indiana to the late Raymond E. and Georgia D Rempis. He retired from Yellow Cab of Northwest Indiana where he worked as a driver. On June 21, 1990, Glenn married the love of his life Sally Coapstick in Porter Co. Glenn had a great sense of humor, he was a jack of all trades, and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, most of all he loved spending his time with family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin.
He is survived by his wife of 33 yrs. Sally Rempis; two sons, Steven (Cally) Rempis and Kevin (Jennifer) Rempis; two daughters, Jennifer (Adam) Hedger and Lesley (Rikk) Fortini; grandchildren, John (Chelsey McInerney) Kravis, Leann (Josh) Smaltz, Ryan Cash, Brandon Rempis, Jake (Emily Hefty) Rempis, Jake (Brooklyn) Kravis, Nicholas Cash, Nathan Bauknecht, Josie (Zach DelValle) Rempis, Emily (Noah) Ringer, Josh (Reece Sloan) Kravis, Miura (Jonny) Rempis-Locke and Damon Meeks; great grandchildren, Nikoli, Layla, Stella Kravis, Ellie Morris, Matthew and Athena Cash, Zayden DelValle and Mavis Ringer due in November; sister, Jill Rempis; sisters-in-law, Linda (Robert) Wineinger and Bonnie Silver and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond E. Rempis; mother, Georgia D. Rempis; great grandchild, Jayce Cash, father and mother -in-law, Jack and Dorothy Coapstick, and brother- in-law, Jacque Coapstick.
We wish to thank Dunes Hospice of Valparaiso for all their wonderful care throughout his time in Hospice. Also, to Gils Drugs of Valparaiso for their service. A special thank you to Northwest Indiana Oncology in Dyer, Indiana for giving Glenn another year with us. Finally, to Paul Coulis of Dyer, Indiana for his great friendship as his employer of Yellow Cab of Northwest Indiana. Glenn loved his job and discovering many wonderful places he saw when transporting his clients to their destinations.
