GLENNA M. DEVARY, age 89, of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Glenna was born on August 23, 1923 in Oneida, TN to the late Price and Bessie Elliot. She was of Protestant Faith, and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Glenna is survived by her daughter, Betsy (Ralph) Vandergriff of Portage; 2 grandsons, Tim (Beverly) Vandergriff of Portage and Greg Vandergriff of Lake Station; 2 great granddaughters, Jessica and Cassandra Vandergriff; sister, Dorothy Wienert of Valparaiso; several loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond DeVary and first husband,
Buford Simmons; brother, Charles Elliot; and sister, Donna Dennison.
Visitation is Friday, April 26, 2013 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Funeral will be Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, with Rev. Donald Good officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
