Gloria J. Gawron

Gloria J. Gawron (nee Lacinski), age 79, of Portage and formerly of Hessville, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021.

Gloria was born on January 17, 1942 in East Chicago, IN to the late Chester and Ann (nee Ostovich) Lacinski.  She married Thaddeus "Ted" Gawron on April 20, 1963 and spent 52 years together until his death in 2015.  Gloria was a homemaker and enjoyed a lot of different creative hobbies such as painting and sewing.  She was a devout member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church and a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Gloria is survived by her sons: David and Philip (Kimberly) Gawron; grandchildren: Gloria Gawron, Robbie Welch, Lindsey Davis, and Taylor (Nick) Popovich; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by her daughter: Donna Gawron; grandson: Johnny Gawron; and sister: Roseann (Joseph) Kozy.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church (2949 Willowcreek Rd., Portage) with Fr. Kevin McCarthy officiating. At Rest: St. John Cemetery.
