Gloria A. Thomas

GLORIA A. THOMAS, age 71, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019. Gloria was born on June 4, 1947 in Many, LA.  She worked for many years as an opening shift leader at McDonald's.   Gloria was a devoted member of Hobart Presbyterian Church where she was a proud member of the Board of Deacons, the Women's Association and the Psalmster's.  She was also involved with the Presbyterian Resale Shop and Café Agape.  Gloria was also proud of her involvement with the Indiana Dunes Great Banquet.  She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Dan) Ragon, Hobart, Barbie (Ed) Livingston, Schererville, 7 grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Kilmer, Danielle (Lou) Ragon, Renee (Eric) Ragon, Natalie Ragon, Jay (Tiffany) Aday, Kevin and Kyle Knabenhans; 9 great grandchildren; beloved best friend, Donna (Dennis) Fedor, Lake Station; other family and friends.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Thomas; parents, Wilber and Cora Joiner; sister, Cordelia Haynes; brother, Carl D. Joiner; and aunt, Jean Curry

A funeral service for Gloria will be Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 5 p.m. with visitation from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Homes, 600 w. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart.
