Obituary

GOLDIE ETHEL PATTESON (nee Chambers), age 94, of Hobart, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012. Goldie was a wonderful, kind, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She moved to Gary from her birthplace of Marshall, Illinois to attend Heim Beauty College. She had her own shop for a while and she kept her license until only a few years ago. Goldie was a faithful member of Hobart Presbyterian Church and lived her life for the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her baby daughter, Gloria Jean, husband, Charles and grandson, Cortland; brothers, Harold and Silas D. Chambers.

Goldie is survived by her daughters, Charlene (Robert) Walker, Audrey Patteson Weber, and Sharon (Mark) Vukin of Hobart; grandchildren, Deidra (Matt) Felder, John (Stephanie) Daniels, Tina (Rick) Heideman, Natalie (Eric) Marker, Alexis (Jason) Kegebein, Angela (Steven) Isakson, Clint Walker, Danielle Walker; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Effie Jane Wallace of Illinois; several loving nieces and nephews.

Donations to Hobart Presbyterian Church, Harbor Light Hospice, or the National Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.

A funeral service for Goldie will be Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Hobart Presbyterian Church, 60 N. Washington St., Hobart, with Rev. Jeffrey C. Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 23, 2012 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W.
