Gordon Hamilton, age 82, of Chesterton, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015. He was born on July 24, 1933 in Hobart, Indiana to the late Harold and Hazel (nee Boyington) Hamilton. Gordon was a purchasing agent retiring from Ogden Martin Systems. Gordon was a US Naval Veteran, a member of American Legion Post #454, VFW Post # 5365 and Garfield Masonic Lodge # 569 F&AM. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by two sons, Jeffry (Judy) Hamilton of Crown Point and Guy (Brandy) Hamilton of Crown Point; daughter, Debra (George) Ribar of Florida, nine grandchildren; Julia, Courtney, Joey, Bahama, Todd, Scott, Ted, Taylor and Cody , nine great-grandchildren, one sister Jeannette Sichterman and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Gordon was preceded in death by his loving wife Diane, his daughter, Gaye Lynn Boehmke; great grandson, Liam Wuenn, his parents, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

A Memorial Visitation for Gordon will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Masonic Service at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
