Grace Edith Hibbard, age 85, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015. She was born the eighth child and youngest daughter of the late Oscar "Richard" and Mary Barger on March 12, 1930 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Grace was a free spirited member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling and taking trips with Jaunts and Journeys. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend to those who love her.

Grace is survived by her sons: Michael (Carol) Hibbard of Valparaiso, Jeff (Junia Bicalho) Hibbard of Valparaiso; daughters: Pam (Ty) Kozma of Valparaiso, Lisa (Scott) Monteith of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Steve (Danyelle) Kozma of Lowell, Ty (Crissy) Kozma of Orlando, FL, Joel (girlfriend: Rosa Eiler) Kozma of Broomfield, CO, Julie (Corey) Bush of Schererville, Eric Hibbard of Chicago, Jack and Joseph Hibbard of Valparaiso, Drew (Kirsten) Monteith of Indianapolis, Lauren Monteith of Indianapolis; great grandchildren: Tyler Kozma, Madison Kozma, Emma Grace Bush, Lucas Bush, Braxton Monteith, Colt Monteith; brother: Raymond (Virginia) Barger; sister: Christine Faust.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Mary Barger; husband: A.Y. Hibbard; brothers: Oscar, James, Clifford, Fred and Frank Barger; sisters: Martha Eubanks, Mabel Gardner and Thelma Baker.

A funeral service for Grace will take place Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Don Good officiating. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Indiana. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
