GRACEMARY A. WHITE, age 76, of Portage, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Miller's Merry Manor. She was born on September 30, 1941 in Gary, Indiana. She grew up in Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Gracemary graduated as an honor student from Lew Wallace High School. She loved playing BINGO in Lake Station , Portage, Hobart, and South Haven and going to Las Vegas.
She is survived by her husband, Richard White; daughter, Michele M. White, Hobart; son, Michael S. White of Portage; grandson, Joshua Gregor; 2 great grandsons, Ashton and Aiden Gregor; sister-in-law, Lorelei Newbert of Michigan City; nephew, Jake Newbert; 2 great nieces, Tiara and Charisma Newbert and great nephew, Jake Newbert, Jr.; Kathleen Merker, my #1 bestest cousin and pain in the butt, I love you sweetie see you soon; Diane Gamez Golarz, my BINGO buddy and bestest friend,I love you.
Gracemary was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ruth Newbert; and brother, Harry Newbert.
