Harley McNabb
age 71, born November 24,1938 in Nelsonville, Ohio the son of the late Everett and Ruth McNabb, passed away Saturday, October 30,2010 at St. Mary's surrounded by his loving family. Harley was a retired Inland Steelworker of 38 years after retirement he worked at Arnell Chrysler dealer, he was a member of American Legion Post 454 in New Chicago and he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Harley is survived by his loving family; wife Shirley McNabb of Lake Station, 3 sons Tom (Pat) McNabb of Valparaiso, Rich (Tina) McWhirter of Virginia, Rick McWhirter of Lake Station, 2 daughters; Karen (Marshall) Hampton of Boone Grove, Kathy Snead of Virginia, 10 grandchildren; Jeff McNabb, Kevin Wilson, Julie Bennington, Melissa Haring, Jesse Hampton, Sarah McWhirter, Amanda Rutledge, Kristina Mora Tipton, Drew Mora and Alysa McWhirter, 3 Great-grandchildren Hannah, Dakota and Jayda, nephew; Terry Norman , brother; Jack (Pat) McNabb, sister Verna Bledsoe.
He is preceded in death by his parents Everett and Ruth McNabb, 2 sisters; Shirley Norman and Gracie Ailes, 3 brothers; Charles, Billy and Freddie McNabb and his furry companion, his dog Misty.
A funeral will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11AM with Pastor Richard Brown officiating, at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana. A Visitation for Harley will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 with a 7pm American Legion service Post 454 also at Rees Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery.
